On average it takes 2 to 3 visits over 7 to 14 days. The first visit covers the consultation, a digital impression and preparation of the teeth. The second is the placement of the veneers or crowns. Between visits you wear temporaries, so you are never without a smile.
With modern porcelain veneers the reduction is minimal — often only 0.3 to 0.5 mm of enamel, and in some cases none at all. It depends on the starting condition of your teeth, which we assess at the first consultation.
With good hygiene and regular check-ups, quality porcelain veneers last 10 to 15 years and longer. Unlike composite materials, porcelain does not discolour over time.
